If the Restrict Act passes, America will see people being rounded up en mass.

Points of concern that leap out at me in the wording of the Restrict Act,

"To authorize the Secretary of Commerce to review and prohibit certain transactions between persons in the United States and foreign adversaries, and for other purposes."

What would those 'other purposes' be?

So, anything.

"(6) ENTITY.—The term “entity” means any of the following, whether established in the United States or outside of the United States:

(I) A group, subgroup, or other association or organization whether or not organized for profit

In effect, anyone.

The Act then states:

"(D) TIMING.—The term “covered transaction” includes a current, past, or potential future transaction."

At any time, then.

The Act in effect, can be applied,to anything done, by anyone, at anytime.

Write to your Representatives about this threat to America.

Everything they want to pass on both sides at this point need to be completely disected to guard against them doing what they did after 911!
Taking away our privacy for "Our own protection" bullshit.

This is supposedly to 'guard us' from foreign data harvesting (ie tiktok - even though the Act does not mention tiktok once)

Privacy and security are the bait, hanging on the hook of a totalitarian Act that could be applied to anyone, anytime, for any reason.

As long as one has an Apple Iphone or smart TV forget privacy!

We chose not to have a smart tv, or 'Alexa', or 'Ring', or 'Nest', or any other 'internet of things', so, the only camera ready items are out smart phones... which, we leave at home when we want privacy, as much as is available in today's world

Same, chose to stay away from a lot of the tech. Had flip phone until a few years ago. Stayed away from social media, alexia, etc. Was the odd one out for not embracing it all.
