I know a few people with ridiculously expensive jet boats. They start LLC's in a neighboring State that does not have sales tax. They then register their boats in that State. I don't suppose the loophole will last forever. But some of these boats are worth more than my house.

Not sure why they don't do it with their trucks. But that's how I found out about it. I saw the plates at theboatramp and asked what the heck is going on.
I agree, first world problems. 350k for a boat is ridiculous and foolish. Even if I had the money I wouldn't spend it like that. One I know took a 20 year loan for a boat 🤷♂️
