Shirley Temple...I grew up with her...I have collected most of her movies & the dolls to go with them. She appeared perfect on black & white t.v. in my 1950's made me strive to be perfect...I was not even close but ...that's another story...
I didn't grow up in a household where we ever heard the word love..I remember seeing my parents holding hands once...my husband was the one that always said 'I love You'🌹to me, the children, our parents.

I loved watching Shirley Temple every Saturday with my grandma. Not my real grandma when I was a child I lived on the street with my mom and at night we would sleep on her steps in the morning she would give me food. One day she invited us into her house and we never left she moved us in with her family. My mom married one of her sons and have been together since I was 12.

The last words my Son said to me was
"I love you" because he never hung up the phone from speaking to me or said goodbye leaving to go out without saying it.

You have no idea how much that means to the people you leave behind when something unexpected happens and you never get the chance to say it again.

Thank you for sharing Nana. You are so right tomorrow will be 2 years that I lost my one and only friend. She called me and told me we talked for 6 hours then 2 days later she passed away. I miss her everyday.
