I think it'll turn out even to be within walking distance of where you are ... be it in a natural 'rural' setting or even in a town or city. There are getting to be more people knowledgeable in botanicals and nutraceuticals that you might find in your own neighborhood with 'just what the doctor called for' .. ;)

Before my wife and I realized we were dealing with ovarian cancer thinking it was a stomach/gut issue and with no money to work with she came across Slippery Elm (tree) as a recommendation. Neither of us knew what one looked like and turned out we had several on the property, one even with a good branch needed pruning giving us a good supply for the time being. You strip the bark off and boil it in water and the inside of the layer turns to a 'slippery' gel like aloe which you ingest.
