I know what you mean. I'd rather trust my intuition vs an individual because of perfection issues, vibes, honesty/not holding back, ego, narcissism, and the list goes on

I only "trust" a few people, and those are individual I have know most of my life.

Usually, they are the ones who I have been with during the "ups and downs" and have some common (personal) connection with.

I can only count those people on one hand.
I found that some can't understand why I have a small circle
It's not a people issue, but a connection and vibe thing
