My daughters noted how cool the moon looked tonight. As I looked at it, I asked what makes the moon crescent. They both said, “The Earth casting a shadow on it. I asked, if that is the case, the sun just set 2 hours ago in the same area that moon is in right now and the sun is farther away. How can the Earth possibly be casting a shadow if they are both in the same place. The sun is not on the other side of the planet, in fact over California it is still sunny outside. They both looked at me and said what does that mean? I simply shrugged and said, you need to question everything,
