so relieved that ALL Americans are waking up to "the real pandemic." It's been lonely for 40 years. I guarded my sons like a lioness with her claws out, whenever we were in public, traveling thru airports; and festivals/sport events/amusement parks. It was exhausting. But, my mother's paranoia of child-abduction never gave me peace, whenever I was traveling for fun or work during the 90's and 2000's with my children.

I taught my sons (they're all adults) that abduction is real; and, when they travel, or are out and about, how to look for the signs of a child/teen in crisis: upset/crying...and if the people with them seem sketchy. Calling the State Police is better than local, or airport security. And, try to remain close to the child/teen until State Police/Sheriff show up - this is easy to do clandestinely, if you have time to make your next flight. Otherwise, always leave a description of both victim and perp(s), and, if you have a chance to know what gate they are boarding or arriv
