March 1, 1790 - The U.S. Supreme Court convenes for the first time.
March 1, 1872 - Yellowstone becomes the U.S.'s first national park.
March 1, 1932 - Hoover Dam completed.
March 1, 1958 - U.S. launches Explorer 1, its first satellite.
March 1, 1961 - The U.S. Peace Corps was founded.
