In Antioch, CA a robber killed a gas station clerk. The clerk chased and shot the robber in his leg. Then, the armed robber shot and killed the store clerk. The robber won't be charged with murder and acted in self defense according to the DA. So, under California law a criminal can rob a store and because a victim decides to defend themselves, armed robbers can then shot an kill the victim and it won't be murder. Ok got it. Criminals aren't responsible for their actions in California, it's the victim's fault.
