I’ve never quite understood the why of it all. Why go through such lengths to make people believe it? Every answer to this I’ve personally seen just rings hollow to me. Do you have any ideas?

That is the reason I have heard often. I just wonder of all the things they could lie about, why that specific one. I feel like there’s a deeper, probably spiritual, answer we haven’t learned about it yet. I do agree that your motives in what they have done are correct. Just that there is more to the story.

Oh yes I said that was just one
I think it was also their way of trying to enforce the world view they wanted people to believe, & be able to drive more of a wedge between people and the actual truth of & from the Creator
