It wouldn't be a lie if it was under new ownership.
It's like saying I won't go back to that restaurant run by Joe shmo who banned me even if he begged me back. However, now that my friend Jane Doe owns and operates it, I will pop in for a burger to show her my support.
Only after Elon takes control, I think it's different and wouldn't see it as his going back on any statement.
It's all speculation and many think he will have to make a return to make the tweet. Some think the storm is long passed.
