Corn and soybean harvest on the central plains is about to begin. This could be cover for the intentional halting of grain shipments and fuel needed by heavy farm equipment. Most grain sold for export moves via train to the Mississippi river and is then loaded on massive barges. The barges travel downstream to New Orleans where it is then loaded onto cargo ships.
If grain can't ship as it is harvested; farmers will be forced to store it in piles outside where it will be ruined by moisture.
This could starve A LOT of people.
