Tobacco alone in its natural state is not harmful, but the some 400 chemicals they add are dangerous. Nicotine alone protects the brain, and is being used in nicotine patches to treat Altzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases by some progressive doctors. Nicotine blocks fluoride/aluminum from crossing the blood brain barrier.

Worked in hospital for 16 years. Nurses still smoking at Nurses station overlooking patients in ICU till mid 90's. Only place you couldn't smoke was on elevator.
