The French Air Force has announced that it has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-200 in the colors of the French Republic on November 26, 2020 at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle. This first aircraft registered F-UJCS, msn 1608, made its first flight on 23/10/2015 under the colors of the Brazilian company, Avianca. It will be followed shortly by the acquisition of a second copy, delivered in mid-December.

These two aircraft, acquired by the French defense procurement agency (DGA), will be operated from their main operating base in Roissy. As strategic transport aircraft, they will replace the two A340s of the 3/60 "Estérel" transport squadron. The latter will be withdrawn from service at the end of December 2020.
