I don't mean to whine or complain, but this year my SSI monthly payment was supposed to give me a 2.3% COLA raise. However, the Medicare payment went up to $135/month so my COLA raise was completely swallowed up leaving me with $60 a month less than I received last year. So I celebrate all Americans who are paying income tax because they truly deserve a dividend from the money saved by findings through DOGE. I hope that there will also be a consideration for Senior citizens who barely get by. BTW, I paid income taxes for more than 50 years of my working life. Every paycheck I received also deducted for SSA.
