What you should know:
➡️ Human trafficking and slavery involve practices such as servitude, forced labour and force marriage.
➡️ In the 2021-22 financial year, the Australian Federal Police received 294 reports of modern slavery and human trafficking, an increase from 224 in the previous financial year.
➡️ Perpetrators are increasingly using technology to coerce people into exploitation and victims can be of any age or gender.
➡️ Front line responders around Australia are refreshing their knowledge on human trafficking, and we encourage you to do the same.
