Putting oneself above our Creator is an ancient believe of which we can find examples in Scripture (let's stick to the NT) for example:
Matt. 4:10 « Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. »
Or
2 Thess. 2:4 « Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. »
Both these verses are about Satan, aren't the "elite" Satanists..? Isn't Satan called the god of this aion in:
2 Cor. 4:4 « In whom the god of this world (Greek aion) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. »
So it's nothing new and it won't end until the second coming of Christ...🙏
