The scary part of us is from anger. Anger comes from fear and we fear because of childhood wounding. When you understand those wounds and practice the dialog, you find the real you without that fear. Lots more to that but it will heal the world and stop wars. Guilt, shame and feelings of inadequacies lead to that anger that he's talking about where he could bludgeon someones leg from anger. As if there is a switch that goes off without control. The trigger is the amount of fear has been reached and there is not holds barred at that point. With the dialog you don't see things the same way anymore. Not through fear so over time you learn how to do things differently. Through practice of the dialog with every emotion, instead of reacting, you train yourself to respond instead. The brain is just a machine that you can program through repetition. Just we haven't been taught how to use it right. The right tools can teach how to use it correctly and that will lead to heaven on earth. No wars.

What about Righteous anger?
It lacks fear.
And we have been shown the Way. It’s not easy but it is what’s needed in order to have that peace.
Repentance & Forgiveness.

"Righteous indignation is typically a reactive emotion of anger over perceived mistreatment, insult, or malice of another. It is akin to what is called the sense of injustice. In some Christian doctrines, righteous anger is considered the only form of anger which is not sinful, e.g., when Jesus drove the money lenders out of the temple (Matthew 21)."
It is real and very few if any will ever reach the point where they will never experience any form of fear but the goal would be to understand your personal interpretation may not be what is truly happening. When we are calm and not responding from that fear is when we can truly touch others and make the true change necessary. And it doesn't bother your personal peace, resolve of conviction of heart.
