It's pretty nutty to think how far the Moon is from the Earth. It's like 30 Earth diameters or more away. Somehow, the Moon makes one full revolution on it's axis for every 1 orbit around the Earth, New Moon to New Moon. Coincidentally, the Sun also spins 1 time on it's axis, at the same rate, synchronized to Earths Moon, or visa versa.
