You need to supercharge your metabolism. Doing weights elevates metabolism for hours, even after a workout. Higher metabolism, the higher the burn. If you just cut calories, your body will slow your metabolism to adjust. My metabolism is so efficient that I could subsist on twigs and berries in the bush and still gain weight. Covid stopped my attending a gym five days a week and it shows - sigh.
