If the roles were reversed, there would be Chinese heads being chopped off.
Islam and communism, both totalitarian mindsets. Both part of the alliance of evil - this particular situation is being promoted to convince the world that islam and communism do not like each other, to distract from their alliance...
After all, the Taliban are negotiating with China for Afghanistan's lithium... and, with the 86 billion dollars of military equipment, they can also offer protection for this resource as well.
