The problem with this article is that they are not elucidating what method/tests they are using to come to this determination. Are they using CBCs, IgA, etc. levels, some other biomarker?

Once we know that, then patients can monitor themselves, which would seem to be one of the goals here. The other would be to improve their immune systems, look at various protocols, and find doctors who give a shit.
