A Vietnamese friend said in the 70's the Budhist Monks were worse than the Viet Cong, Many atrocities.. My friend came to US and became a Christian.

I lived a couple years in Thailand.
Everybody is Bhuddist, or claims to be.
You never saw such viciousness; so many stabbings over literally nothing!
They eat meat, too. I come from 5 generations of farmers, but I have never been so brutal when slaughtering my stock; rather, I try my best to make their sacrifice mean something.
Helping my Thai friends butcher was a stomach-turning event I hope never to repeat.
