Jesus teaches us the kingdom is not of this world, it is within/amongst us. He also teaches us when 2 or more are gathered in his name, he is there.
There is no need for spires, alters, vestments, adornments.
How many times in Matthew does he admonish
Woe unto you, scribes teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites!"

We already have it. He told us, and warned those who lead us astray into the intoxication of symbology, adornments and rituals.
