Urgent plea for help with DTE bill!
We want to thank everyone who has helped us try to fight a $38,000 DTE bill that we received in December!
We are thankful DTE came out today to meet with an electrical engineering firm we hired to see where this huge increase in energy was coming from. A previous electrician found loose wires at the meter and melted wires which was felt to be the issue. DTE put a meter on today to evaluate the power usage. for one week. They are stating it’s a heater in the barn that is occurring $2500-$3000monthly charges! We have had this same heater since 2015 and never had bills like this? We are very grateful to Pete Cervini of Superior Heating and Cooling for coming to change the heater to a radiant propane heater at no cost.
