You’re not wrong about how ISO standards can be used — everything depends on who controls the rails.
But that’s the part most people miss:
the same infrastructure that can run a surveillance state can also run a transparent, corruption-proof system if the power flips.

ISO20022 is just the wiring.
What flows through it — and for whose benefit — is what determines the future.
Right now we’re watching two timelines fighting over the same tools.
But the old one is collapsing.
