I have the ol' STAR TREK TV series collection. and Internet sources say this was the 1st episode that was broadcast on Television. (Was before my time!) There might have been other episodes, but this one was the first on TV, so they say.
What is very interesting to contemplate are the things that the Non-Terrestrials who were in contact with Roddenberry's Magestic 12 source (or maybe later even in direct contact with Roddenberry) wanted us to know FIRST THING:
🛸 The Alien was a 2-Legged Parasite that had to kill Humans to survive.
🛸 The Alien was a Shape Shifter that could change its form after coming in contact with a Human, thus mimicking that Human.
🛸 The Alien could mind-control the Humans (Men) around it to think it looked like Gals they knew from memory's past, and to each Man appearing as a different "woman".
So here we are today learning all this is basically True.
DOCUMENTARIES, not "Science Fiction" at all.
