Apples and oranges argument designed to illicit an emotional response. Every pension plan should have to stand on it own merit not be compared to someones in an entirely different service.
As of fiscal year (FY) 2022, there were approximately 2 million US military retirees receiving retired pay from the Department of Defense (DoD). This number does not include those receiving a VA pension, a separate benefit.
It would not be fiscally prudent to pay that number of people their full salaries for life.
Moreover, they can still get other jobs and double dip social security or other pension plans as well.
You don't like the way Congress is paid, that's fine, change it but don't try manipulating people through emotional arguments that have no basis in fact.

How much of their money will they give up to our men and women, who were in uniform, if we send our Politicians to the front lines?

Problem: they vote thier own benefits! LOL So....let us vote for what benefits the American people.... I say the people should be the ones who vote for their benefits. What has been going on is nothing but theft on a grand scale! Time to end it! BTW...end that stupid neverending access with security clearance!

I believe it is absolutely wrong as well!!! Veterans should come first before Congressmen!!! Term limits on Congressmen and full pay to Veterans! 👍
