OK, so if bitcoin is based on the dollar - you can buy so much bitcoin for so many dollars, and yet the dollar is based on nothing - the system we are using is a fiat system; meaning the dollar is not based on any precious metals, then that would mean that bitcoin is based on a fiat currency system, so bitcoin, xrp, prx, dogecoin, dogcoin, cogcoin, catcoin, batcoin, ratcoin or whatever the current flavor of the month may be is fiat, and
is worthless.
It all sounds like a trap, and/or a scam.

99% of crypto will disappear only those that are ISO20022 compliant will remain. All cryptos are not the same. There are a few that provide a useful service such as making cross border payments instantaneous and cheap.
