Between my dad having the first 2 Moderna shots… the death home (nursing home that basically starved him by not assisting him to eat when we weren’t able to be there… which was mornings and noon) & hospic, my dad died last Nov! We regret after he broke his hip we had to place in the home! my full time job &caring for Mom at home I cldnt cont his care any longer 😭😭pics are under my care weight and death home weight… I do not have one from the time he died he was even skinnier!!

I'm sorry for your loss, Brizby. Like me, you have been a caregiver for a long time. It's been a difficult task, especially when the care facility works against your parent's best interest. Forgive this gruesome thought, but perhaps Obama's death guru Ari Emanuel (Rahm's older brother) is actually operating his death panels. [75 years old is long enough, time to go, old man].
It's always been about money. Skip his meal, save time and a few bucks. He won't complain.
We are told there will be justice coming which is good. However, are we supposed to be filing complaints against the hospital/care facility to get the justice train on track? Will nothing be done until we file a complaint?
Unfortunately the justice machinery in my state is corrupt.
My state is corrupt.
Lahaina happened under its watch.
So I'll wait.
Hang in there, Brizby.

NO.
Hospice care is for someone who IS dying already.
Like someone who has renal failure and Alzheimers, can't eat or drink and isn't really conscious and is 87 years old.
Someone who is INEVITABLY dying like we all eventually do.
In Hospice they are no longer trying to cure you but give you painkillers and make your death less painful and you more comfortable.
As an aside, putting a patient on that status is also preparing the loved ones for the impending death.
I hate allopathic medicine but that's besides the point.

Someone made a mistake or misled me.
Tom was placed there for a few days waiting to go home. It was a nicer place to wait than at the hospital, I was told. We had nurses and aides ready to care for him at home. Hospital bed set up at our home. The date of transfer kept being delayed.
When the day he was to come home arrived, he died early that morning.

PASSIVITY, DNR SEEMED THE MAIN FOCUS
WELLNESS AND HEALTH CARE HAD NO PLACE HERE.
I THOUGHT IT WAS A WAY STATION BEFORE COMING HOME.
TURNS OUT THE NEXT STOP WAS DEATH.
I WAS MISINFORMED WHEN PLACING HIM THERE.
DEADLY MISUNDERSTANDING.
I feel sick.
