This is what I tell EVERYONE I know:

Food for family, pets, friends, Soldiers
pantry food that doesn’t need electricity
Extra Medications
Paper goods
WATER
Candles, matches, batteries, flashlights
All vehicles gassed to FULL 24/7
Enough of EVERYTHING for 2-weeks
if you have to just stay-at-home 🙏🇺🇸

💯 Kat! Yes, and it's even IN STYLE to be a Prepper!😜 Few hints:

Canned & Dry Food; rice, beans, pasta don't have to be expensive. Store in 5gal buckets to keep dry, pests out. Rotate!

Get cheap solar landscape lights for emergency lighting - Under $6ea at Home Depot, etc. Last for hours.

Camping water filter at outdoor stores.
Got a kiddie pool, FILL IT. That's water!
First Aid supplies - build or buy Kit.
Got camp gear? Keep handy.

Download SIGNAL APP. Maybe a CB (at truck stops ~ $300) or Ham radio.

Fill BBQ propane tanks to cook/boil a meal or two.

If short term power outages (switch over to Free Energy) & since fridge/freezers can only hold cold for a few hours, maybe get a small generator, even a 2kW camping generator. Run outdoors in intervals, use heavy extension cord. Spare fuel safely stored for that & VEHICLE.

Self-Defense "Implements" always handy.

Don't be scared, be PREPARED.
