Husband & I went to Lowe's the other day to purchase a specific item. This happened to us as we went to check out. NO cashiers, only self checkouts. I was not happy about this. Husband was having a bit of trouble with the scanning part & a dude worker walks by. Asked if he could help "No, I don't work this area" I let him know what I thought of Lowe's self check outs. Of course it's not his fault I know that, but he heard it. We did not get stopped to check our receipts though, just left & won't be going back there.
