An atheist punishing Christians for being christian is obviously wrong, right? Freedom of religion is at the core of a diverse nation being able to exist. It's the first amendment.

Equally, a Christian punishing atheists for being atheists is just as wrong.

Your beliefs are your own. You are entitled to exercising them, as are others to not exercise them. It's your religion. Not theirs.

Mike Johnson demonizing atheists and their non-adherence to Christian values is an affront to the core beliefs of the United States.

So if Speaker Johnson disagrees with your opinions, then he's 'demonizing' you? LOL

The hardcore Democrat supporters are likely not too happy right now. The public sees through all the BS and divisiveness. The brainwashing has been quite effective. Pick a side.

"Johnson suggested Tuesday that the nation's founders believed religion and morality were central to the government."

"They knew that it would be important to maintain our system," he said. "And that’s why I think we need more of that — not an establishment of any national religion — but we need everybody’s vibrant expression of faith because it’s such an important part of who we are as a nation."

Saying that the country will suffer, solely because not enough people adhere to your own beliefs is not "disagreeing"

It is your freedom to disagree with the atheist belief (or lack of), but you're infringing on other's freedom if you disagree with their existence for said belief (or lack of).
There's a very clear distinction between those ideas, and Johnson is stepping into the territory of the latter.

He considers the drop in church attendance frightening. He thinks his God is being mocked, because kids that don't share his faith are taught it's okay to be themselves, and because they aren't taught his Christian values in school. He calls that depraved.
He very clearly thinks it is wrong for people to adhere to values that aren't his own. Calling that disagreement is dishonest to what he's really saying.

Seems you already picked a side. Giving parents no choice about what their children learn in school is ok? All the different genders? No problem? I could go on and on. The lack of common sense in public view is shocking, and the destruction of society is coming to a stop, imvho. Fight back at your own risk.
Enjoy the day!

I didn't pick a side, no. Unless you consider everything that's not "teach every kid to be a good little christian" a side.

Education is a big and complex topic, with many different and opposing viewpoints crashing into one another. There's no silver bullet.

You let parents decide 100% of their kids education, you get kids indoctrinated by their parents belief, with no free will to choose for themselves. I know I'm against that. Is that a side? I don't think so.

I think it is specifically an advantage that school contrasts the home of the kids. It gives them a chance to pick what works best for them. They learn about their parents culture and beliefs at home, there's no reason to make that all they will ever know.

That doesn't mean I don't think our education system is flawed, or needs overhauling.

I just don't think that banning books and punishing teachers will solve much of anything.

When the global mafia no longer has influence in every part of our lives, their will be less bickering.
More people will speak their opinions without threat of retaliation, better decisions will be made by those people in positions of authority, and the atmosphere will shift for the better, imvho.
Enjoy the day!
