πŸŽ– Yoda, a 4-year-old Police K-9 is being hailed a hero
for his help capturing convicted murderer, Cavalcante,
who'd been on the run for 2 weeks.
Yoda, a Belgian Malinois, is a member of
El Paso Border Patrol Tactical Team BORTAC.
K-9 training expert Michael Gould said Yoda did
exactly what they were trained to do: Bite & hold.
Gould wasn't surprised a K-9 brought down Cavalcante.
β€œDogs are waterproof,
they have night vision,
they're voice-activated.
These circumstances couldn’t have been more dangerous:
You have an armed suspect,
& rather than putting law enforcement at risk,
the dog is capable of locating,
holding & apprehending a suspect
just by the how they’re trained."
Cavalcante was first bitten on the forehead,
then Yoda clenched his thigh & held on.
That's when Cavalcante submitted,
& officers got him in handcuffs.
"He was probably in excruciating pain at that point."

I love this, maybe this is what our patrol officers need on the streets for thugs who continue to cause harm to our citizens.
