I grew up in Asheville and with the Vanderbuilts Family the C's.I was little when i went in and saw the pool the robes and the Tunnels.......I knew it was dark..Children know,they may not understand all..The dots r now connected.....
I would not ever return.....I was a swimmer,that was not for swimming....
Vanderbuilt Was a Awful and Sick Man..That is a Fact!.The land it stands on was Stolen from African Americans....He put them in a Corner.....

It is in Asheville,where i grew up,and i grew up with the Vanderbuilt Extention the Cecils...good people.George Vanderbuilt owned the home,where Gloria Comes in is George was her Great Uncle,beyond that it was handed down to The Cecils Brothers William owned the house all those goodies and George owned the Dairy Farms etc.
I hope that gives some idea,it is Creepy Place...even as a child.
