I have several castor oil posts on AU - I love this stuff! The book "The Oil That Heals" is a great book that talks about using castor oil topically for healing various illnesses. https://anonup.com/thread/...
Here's what I personally used it successfully for:
- Castor oil mixed with baking soda put on very large wart-like growths on my 4 year old dissolved them within a week
- Castor oil mixed with Kure-It oil made into a pack cured my daughter's sprained ankle in 48 hours (I expected her to be on crutches for two weeks)
- It healed my knee when I couldn't bend it
- It's great on the face for smoothing out discolorations and wrinkles

I use it on my eyebrows and right now am using it to get rid of a maxoid (gel-benign) cyst on my finger. It's almost gone after applying C.O. and covering w/ a band-aid 8 hrs. a day for 2 weeks.

Hi beautiful, I just ordered the book and some oil. Going to try it on my eyebrows and try saturated pads on the soles of my feet and then put plastic bags on. I’m back in the office wearing professional shoes. I don’t think I’ll ever recover from two years of pandemic slippers. I’ll keep you posted. I can’t wait to get the book and the oil. Thank you so much for this great suggestion I remember my mother and my aunt talking about Caster oil.

There is a degree of trial and error with oils on the face. I have acne prone skin even in my 40s, and coconut oil always makes me breakout, but it's fantastic for diaper rashes! (It's all we used with our kids.) Argan oil has been solid for me for my face. Castor oil works even better for hydrating than argan, but I have to do 2 days on, 3 days off. I always put a layer of vitamin c serum or rose water on my face before applying any oil. It seems to help the oil soak into the skin better.
