Depends on whom is talking about those topics, IMHO. If it is DS and Cabal and the elites, we know their mentality and mindset, however, when it is Patriotic and of Good people, it can be to hunt for food or self defense.

However, with the replicators, med beds, manna machines, regeneration and other devices being created and that are here, essentially one day, guns will no longer be needed, just sharp minds and healed bodies!!! IMHO
