Being an expert at one thing, does not make them cleaver... just well read, on one thing.

Academia is so cloistered, they will just go with whatever the prevailing propaganda is for subjects outside of their field- because, to do otherwise is to take away time from their field, and, put them into a situation where they are no longer the experts - their egos, will not allow THAT.

"Super clever morons!" That needs to become a standardized nomenclature!

Woman I work with told a tale about these super clever morons — or in this case = unfireable predators.

She said she was once in a couple weeks long leadership course. They broke off into groups of 8 and hers happened to be all female.

She said of the eight women in her group, three said they were told by their PhD advisor that they had to sleep with them or not get their degree. Two bit the bullet and one said no.

Tenured unfireable super clever morons = reality can’t (someday?) come fast enough for these clowns 🤡

Martin, I am faculty at a state university and am one of 3 people I work with that gets what is going on. I have been awake for 3 years and must literally talk only about what 'they' want or believe. It's horrible so I keep to myself and my students. Yes, I tell them (the students) the truth.

I live in a college town and the teachers, professors and Administration are pretty WOKE.

They think their opinion and way of thinking is the ONLY way to think. If one ever disagrees with them or tries to provide a different perspective they get very nasty and hostile.

One didn't agree with a post of mine that indicated o'Biden was corrupt and seemed to be a bit too interested in little girls. This was before I got kicked off FB.

The 'professor' accused me of spreading conspiracy, posted a poem as a reply to my post indicating that I had 'blood on my hands', discussed my sanity in a group setting and another person in the group called me and suggested that I see a counselor as I clearly wasn't thinking correctly and they were 'worried' about me.

I avoid them like the plague now - which is OK by me. However, I crave having friends who could actually stop by the house for a meal and a good healthy discussion about what is going on in the world.

lol yes! i live in a university city - surrounded by academic types - most phd's (i hold an undergrad degree but say i didn't really become "educated" until i went solo w/my learning). and it is EXACTLY as you put it: clever morons.
