Thanks to a handful of researchers we know that many unusual mesas and ‘rock’ formations look like remnants of giant trees. One researcher disclosed a few years back that scientists discovered evidence of a root system under Devil’s Tower in Wyoming that spans 4 miles deep and 7 miles wide.
As validation that this is giant tree, there are two dozen tribes that hold the so-called Devil’s Tower as a sacred site and one of tribe refers to it as Tree Rock.
