Today is the eve of Shabbat or Shabbos aka the Sabbath day which begins at sun down tonight and ends at sundown tomorrow Saturday night.
It is the 4th commandment of the 10 commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai just after they were delivered from 400 years of captivity in Egypt, held captives because they did not leave after the drought and before Joseph's death.
According to the Talmud, Shabbat is equal to all the other Commandments.
We today go by the gregorian calendar which is 13 days ahead of the Julian calender which was in use during Jesus Christ's time on earth.
9/23 -13 = 9/10 Julian.
It is also believed that Jesus Christ was born 9/11 Julian.
The beginning of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah is Sunday 9/12 Julian.
By these accounts, this is the eve of the birth of Jesus Christ, God lowering himself to that of man, his 6th day creation made in his image immediately followed by new year, delivery and feast.
