CONCERNS

“And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”

Because of Jesus, there will be a day where pain no longer exists.

As you await this day, allow God to give you joy in the midst of challenges by giving Him your cares and concerns.

In 1986, my father was told that he had stage 4 cancer in his lung and it was spreading throughout his body. The "experts" who administer Chemo-therapy and Radiation-therapy entered his hospital room, advised him that he was surely going to die, BUT they offered treatments that would POSSIBLY (key phrase) extend his time on earth. He made the decision to go with their proposed treatment plans. I watched him go from a strong viral human being to a withered and frail human being in 6 months with their so-called life extending treatment plan. He went from 180 lbs to 80 lbs, no longer had the ability to walk, he suffered grand maul seizures daily, he could not eat. The experts managed to "KILL" him in 6 months. Hence, I and many members of our family refuse to take tests to see if we have cancer. We are not going to take their treatment so we do not need to know if we have cancer. God will take me home when He is ready to receive me. MINUS any chemo or radiation.

Jesus performed the ultimate act of service by sacrificing His life for us.

Matthew 20:25-28

We often think of great people as the ones with authority, prominence, and power. Though Jesus had all that, He laid it aside to become a servant (Isaiah 42:1).

Jesus gave Himself completely to fulfill the Father’s plan of redemption, even though the beneficiaries—each of us—were undeserving. God, who is holy and righteous, has “eyes ... too pure to approve evil, and [He] can not look on wickedness with favor” (Habakkuk 1:13). Yet all of humanity is marked by wrongdoing (Romans 3:23).

Jesus’ ultimate act of service was to give His life to rescue us (Matt. 20:28). He made it possible for all of us to be free and to experience the joy that comes with being united to God in love, which was the Father’s intention from the moment we were created by His loving hands.

Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we receive the gift
